This small house, located in São Paulo, was built in 2008 on a very narrow and long lot (5.5 x 33.0 m). The geometry of the site suggested avoiding transverse barriers inside the house in order to free up as much area as possible for circulation and to create a more fluid use of the spaces. A large concrete shelving unit organizes the ground floor, serving the living room, dining room, and kitchen. On the opposite side of the shelving unit, the staircase, illuminated from above by natural light, leads to the bedrooms.
